Monday Mini - Knitters on a Rampage

Image
This is a little bit on the large side for a mini, maybe bordering on midi. A little heavier on the proper names than I prefer but I hope I was fair with the crosses to make the gettable. (And 13-A could certainly have been clued not as a proper name, but I wanted to throw my sportsball knowledge around. YNWA) Image by Dave via Flickr, licensed by CC-BY-NC-ND

Enter: ME!

Hello and Merry Christmas! I implore you to partake of merriment today, even if Christmas is not your bag. Merriment after all, is great. Here's a puzzle for you to enjoy. I haven't put the download links today because it's a fair amount of work and it seems like people are doing the embedded version more. Let me know if you'd rather I did keep putting the downloads though, and I'd be happy to. This puzzle's seed was 14-A, which I wanted to put in a puzzle while it was timely, and the desire to try an ambitious grid design. Enjoy!

I'm going to establish some alliterative order to this blog. Mini Mondays. Fifteen Fridays. More stuff as I add puzzles. So happy Monday, and enjoy a mini. It's pretty quick. I would've put 7-A as the link image because she's amazing but that would be a spoiler. PUZ | PDF | PDF Solution

Avast! And welcome aboard! Although I don't intend this blog to consist solely of crossword puzzles, those will make up the majority. They were my first puzzling infatuation, learned at the elbow of my grandfather who insisted on doing them all in pen despite his poor spelling. I want to thank Steve Mossberg for testing the first version of this and for his words of advice and encouragement. Thanks, Steve! Enjoy! Y'arr! Or download it here. PDF | .PUZ | PDF Solution
